November 7, 2011 - CONNECT's newly released Second Quarter 2011 Innovation Report shows the number of San Diego tech start-ups in the second quarter of 2011 was up almost 20% over the same quarter last year with 76 new companies. CONNECT Innovation Report 1Q 2011 (July 2011)
July 11, 2011 - CONNECT's newly released First Quarter 2011 Innovation Report shows the number of San Diego tech start-ups in the first quarter of 2011 doubled to 70 companies over the same quarter last year and was the highest rate for a first quarter in the last four years. The Report also showed that tech employment is on the rise, merger and acquisition activity has tripled and the number of patents granted rose sharply. Continue reading »
CONNECT Innovation Report 4Q 2010 (April 2011)
April 7, 2011 - CONNECT's newly released Fourth Quarter 2010 Innovation Report shows 84 new technology start-ups were formed in San Diego in the final quarter of 2010. This was a decrease of about 10% from the third quarter of 2010 and an increase of more than 13% year-on-year. The overall number of start-ups in 2010 totaled 277, down 13% from 319 in 2009, and up more than 15% from 240 in 2008. Continue reading »
Increasing College Access and Participation in CA Higher Education (March 2011)
