In the 3rd quarter of 2012, technology sector wages averaged
$117,740 compared to an average of $49,013 in the nontechnology
sector wages. Average salaries in the communications
equipment manufacturing sector continues to be the highest
average salary in the technology sector at $130,229. Every tech
job in San Diego creates another 1.6 jobs in the local economy.
