Double-Dip Not Expected but Guarded Outlook for 2012
While falling into another recession is not anticipated, the sluggish
recovery could lapse with any number of shocks, such as the
expanding European debt crisis, an increase in state and national
taxes, and further inflationary price pressures across the world. The slow growing economy reflects a lack of consumer confidence and business uncertainty about expanding and taking on more workers. In spite of these heightened cautions, San Diego’s economy is projected
to continue improving along the unsteady and bumpy roadway.
