ANSWER: Yes.
While President Obama correctly maintains he inherited the economic mess, his policy actions burden business expansion. Escalating public debt, higher taxes and unending deficits hamper economic growth. Uncertainties over regulatory and tax initiatives — health care, energy legislation — also stifle job growth. The stimulus program was poorly structured and overtly politicized, resulting in no real output or income gains. The better strategy is let the private economy adjust and return to growth by itself.
