There is good economic news beyond the recent voter mandate to reverse, or at least slow, the relentless expansion of unlimited government — as well as end what George Will calls “promiscuous rewards for Democratic constituencies (e.g., trying to stimulate the economy with trickle-down government spending that sustains unionized public employees).”
The U.S. economy and people are amazingly resilient when allowed to perform. Both consumer confidence and spending are starting to revive, if only slightly, and encouraging employers to start hiring again.
Also, the Aztecs’ football and basketball teams are doing well.
