Answer: Yes

Although the economic recovery in San Diego is still sluggish, at least it is gradually improving. San Diego’s gross domestic product (GDP), the most comprehensive measurement of the local economy, is projected to fully recover in 2012. As of October 2011, 33,200 more jobs have been added over the past year, a 2.4 percent increase for the employment base of 1.4 million. This is certainly preferable to losing or not adding any jobs. Sectors leading the recovery include professional, scientific, technical, and other business services, hospitality, health care, financial services, and even some manufacturing sectors should continue emerging.
