The impact to host cities of the past 10 All-Star Game events are estimated to have averaged $70.5 million, although figures do not account for activities occurring anyway. The bigger impact may be residual effects from focusing attention and advertising on the desirable place San Diego is to visit. The economic value is worth millions to promote visitors coming to local attractions, hotels, and other businesses.
