Direct impacts on San Diego will not likely be much. Although our seventh largest trade partner, Britain accounts for only 0.4 percent of San Diego’s total international trade, since Mexico overwhelmingly dominates. As a region Europe accounts for the third largest portion of trade at 6.1 percent. Most trade from Europe is autos sent here by ship. Fewer visitors may come from the U.K., which accounts for 1.7 percent of San Diego’s foreign overnight visitors -- third after Canada and Mexico.
