Answer: YES

Both sponsors and participants in such sporting events should compel organizing bodies to clean up their act. Otherwise, involvement renders all connected complicit in corruption and worse. The absurd result of bribes and kickbacks is the most complex sports tournament in the world being hosted by a country (Qatar in 2022) lacking any infrastructure or association to the event and farcically moving it to December to avoid intolerably high temperatures. Sporting competitions are not incongruous with political reality.
