The population of Los Angeles and surrounding five-county area is nearly six times larger than San Diego’s. The economy is five times larger. But the Chargers will be second rate in Los Angeles, and not be as popular, supported, or (have fans as) passionate as fans are in San Diego. San Diego will also spend a lot more to attract another NFL team than keep the Chargers here. For all concerned, the Chargers should be in San Diego.
