With or without Tiger, golf in San Diego draws crowds and rakes in some serious green. A study released Tuesday by the National University System Institute for Policy Research showed that in 2008, golf’s economic impact in San Diego was $3.7 billion (nothing to shake a club at) and roughly equivalent to hosting 10 Super Bowls or 37 Comic-Con conventions.
