“The economy’s vulnerability is clearly reflected in the unhinged stock market, with high unemployment, weakening GDP growth, insolvent countries and worldwide debt overhangs,” said Kelly Cunningham, economist and senior fellow at the National University System Institute for Policy Research. “The positive is the market may have fallen so low that buying opportunities should become apparent, so long as one is confident they cannot go much lower.”
